The REPowerEU Plan aims to accelerate the energy transition by reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55 % by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050. Italy, to achieve these objectives, will have to strengthen and simplify the current legislation to support renewables to allow the installation of more than 70GW of new renewable power mainly from solar and also wind. In this direction we enter the recent Decrees on energy that allow, for some categories of plants, to authorize new initiatives using, streamlined and rapid tools such as the Simplified Enabling Procedure (PAS) and the Declaration of Beginning of Work (DILA). These simplifications apply to:
• photovoltaic systems of installed power up to 20 MW in industrial, productive or commercial areas
• photovoltaic systems with installed power up to 10 MW in the areas classified as suitable
• wind farms with installed power up to 1MW.
The new regulatory and bureaucratic scenario represents for the EPICO Group an extraordinary opportunity for growth.
